At Norgate Animal Hospital we use the best anesthesia at our disposal and is carefully selected to minimize the risk of surgery while still maximising pain control. Elderly or at risk patients will benefit from this especially. Modern monitoring equipment, as pictured to your right, and a surgical assistant help to make sure that your pet is safe at all times. An IV, a line that delivers liquid to the veins, is a standard safety measure. Not only does it help give a quick way for the doctor to deliver medication during surgery but it also helps speed up the recovery process following surgery.
